DEWALT DXV16PA 16 gallon Poly Wet/Dry Vacuum Review
When it comes to wet/dry vacuums, the DeWalt DXV16PA is a powerhouse. A lot of people might not think that a wet/dry vacuum needs to be all that powerful, but when you have a big job to do, the last thing you want is a weak vacuum that can’t get the job done. With this machine, you’ll have no such worries.
The vac also comes with several convenient features, like a built-in blower port and an accessory storage bag, that make it even more versatile. Whether you’re cleaning out your workshop or your car, the DeWalt DXV16PA is up to the task.
1. Powerful Suction
One of the most important features of any vacuum is suction power, and this vac doesn’t disappoint. It has a 6.5-peak horsepower motor that provides more than enough suction for even the most challenging cleanup jobs.
2. Durable Construction
Another important feature to look for in a wet/dry vacuum is durability. You want a machine that can withstand being used on a variety of different surfaces and in different conditions.
It is built with durability in mind. It has an ultra-durable rubberized casing that protects the internals from damage, as well as large rear wheels that make it easy to maneuver around your workspace.
3. Easy to Empty
When you’re finished using the DXV16PA, emptying it is a breeze. It has a large built-in tank drain that makes it easy to get rid of any liquids you may have picked up. You won’t have to worry about spills or messes.
4. Built-In Blower Port
It also features a built-in blower port that’s powerful enough to blow sawdust and debris from your workshop. This is a great feature if you want to keep your work area clean and tidy.
5. Built-In Accessory Storage Bag
Another handy feature of this vac is the built-in accessory storage bag. This is a great way to keep all of your vacuum accessories organized and within reach. No more lost hose attachments or misplaced nozzles.
6. Large Tank
It has a large 16-gallon tank, which is ideal for big jobs. If you’re working on a large project or cleaning up after a big event, this vac can get the job done quickly and efficiently.
7. Swiveling Casters
This vacuum features swiveling casters that make it easy to move around in any direction. This is a great feature if you need to maneuver the vac around tight spaces or furniture.
8. Muffler and Hose Adapter
It also comes with a silencing muffler and hose adapter. This is a great way to reduce the amount of noise the vac makes when in use. The adapter also allows you to attach the vac to standard vacuum hoses, making it even more versatile.
According to other people and my own experience with this vac, I would highly recommend the DeWalt DXV16PA 16-gallon Poly Wet/Dry vacuum. It’s a great machine that is built to last and can tackle any cleanup job you throw its way. If you’re looking for a powerful and versatile wet/dry vacuum, this is a perfect choice.

WOW! This is by far the quietest corded Craftsman vacuum I’ve ever owned. It’s even quieter than my old 20v Dewalt vac. Maneuverability is excellent, and suction is also good. The power cable was rather lengthy, and it wraps up nicely. The hose appears to be quite durable, but I believe a longer one would be preferable. I’m very pleased with this purchase.

I’m really glad I discovered this vacuum before I began cleaning cars. I have another DeWALT vacuum, but it’s smaller and portable, and you may either connect a battery pack to it or use the cable. However, this is a GEM of a vacuum cleaner.
I detail automobiles on the side and I can tell you that for the first time today, I used it to clean my mustang’s interior. It took every last piece of trash away! The day before, I had a spill of water on the carpet and the carpet was still moist… So I passed the vacuum over it and IT LEFT MY CARPET DRY! I was shocked. You won’t be sorry if you buy this vacuum; I guarantee it.

For me, the most essential thing is that I can vacuum without having to wear ear protection. When it came to replacing my old craftsman shop vac, I was perplexed that none of the alternatives at the big-box shops mentioned decibels or even loudness.
On their website, Home Depot had one listed as quiet, but when I ordered and picked it up, a newer version with higher decibel levels had replaced it. I returned it and got the Dewalt instead since it met my stringent requirements. It appears to be a decent vacuum; in fact, this is the first time in years that we’ve had clean carpets!
